Poor Zed

From the Moment that Zed said in response to Mara saying she thought that the Renegade was handsome "Handsome! how do you know? He's in a mask." I had a feeling that Zed had a crush on Mara. It was confirmed in the next episode. this drawing I made is of where Zed and Mara currently stand. Mara is infatuated with the Renegade Zed is depressed that she doesn't seem to even notice him, and neither of them know that their friend Beck is the Renegade.

Keep trying Zed you'll win her heart eventually.
